Some of the money has also been utilizedtowards procuring an array of multivitamins. We are alsothankful to sardar sadiq sab for donating the nasal cpapsystem.

School Uniform distribution
Giving the school uniforms somehow reduces the extra burden on those parents who could not afford the increasing costs of school items. The admirable president of the Banjosa Development Council, Mr. Riaz Khan, recently lent a helping hand to 10 destitute children from the Banjosa High School. He not only procured uniforms for the said children but also endorsed certain other necessities that come in handy in a child’s academic career. With his aid, these children will be able to pursue their studies with ease. We thank Mr. Riaz Khan from the depths of our hearts and would like to commend him for his manifold services to the extension and spread of education.

Reflector Telescope in Banjosa
To raise interest in science among the students and community, we are planning to install one powerful telescope at some suitable point in Banjosa. Interested persons can investigate and observe the solar system by using this facility and it can also boost the tourism activity in the area. So far rupees 45000 have been collected in fundraising for this project. The main personalities who initiated this idea are President BDC Riaz Khan sab and Abrar Ishaq sab from UAE. We are thankful to Mustafa from Canada who has taken a keen interest in this project and purchased Orion 27191 StarBlast 6i IntelliScope Reflector telescope amounting to 220 $

Donation of Medical Equipment to RHC Banjosa
Medical outlets in RHC Medical outlets in RHC Banjosa, were running low on masks, BP apparatus, and other primal health care equipment. To satiate these deficiencies, the Banjosa Development Council rose to the occasion yet again by procuring donations and furnishing the aforementioned outlets with wheelchairs, two BP Sets, hand sanitizers, masks, etc. We are thankful to our BDC family for joining hands with us in making tangible differences among this community and region

Online Doctor Consultation
Accessing medical help online is gaining momentum throughout the world. But we are far behind the developed world due to the poor IT infrastructure in rural areas of AJK. Despite these limitations, BDC tried to introduce this concept in Banjosa by arranging online sessions of medical services for orthopedic patients. The Banjosa Development Council would like to laud the efforts of Dr. Sardar Sajid Mehmood Khan (Orthopaedic Registrar Whipps Cross University Hospital London UK ), for addressing the medical needs of ten residents of different wards of Banjosa. He was kind enough to extend advice to the residents in-spite of his busy schedule—has deeply resonated with both the inhabitants and the council. The BDC would like to proffer their gratitude to him and plans on collaborating with him—on similar ventures—in the foreseeable future

Mr. Riaz Khan reiterated his support for the promotion of sports and healthy activities in the village he stressed the need to encourage games and sports in schools and colleges so that the youth continues to participate in the positive competition. He put forth the plan BDC has for the promotion and support of sports activities at the school level. BDC’s diaspora especially Sardar Javed Akhtar from England and Sardar Anwar contributed to rewards and remuneration for winner and runner-up teams. BDC will continue to support sports and other healthy activities for the physical and mental agility of the youth.

Maintenance of RHC Ambulance
We’d like to commend the people of Banjosa on coming to the aid of their region in the form of the Banjosa Health Fund. Previously the ambulance posted at the RHC was in a sorry state—with its tyres and pumps awfully out of order; its rundown state had, understandably, rendered it unserviceable. Moreover, the stretcher was also worn out. The BDC tried at multiple points to press the government into making the necessary amends. However, it was to no avail. Therefore, they ultimately took matters into their own hands and had the ambulance repaired with the aforementioned funds. Most of these funds went towards tyre replacements, but other parts were also ideally switched out. The ambulance is hence back on the road and providing its services to the RHC as required.
